I can totally relate to most of those lessons! It’s really awesome to have someone who you can share life with. It may get crazy sometimes but at the end of the day, you have each other to rely on. Happy 27th Anniversary! Keep the fire burning!

Congratulations! 27 years is quite an achievement! It is truly amazing that we learn a lot from marriage, from living with someone who you totally do not have any blood relations with. Marriage is a journey, and I am wishing you more joyful years of blessed togetherness!

It has taken me many years to discover that the purpose of marriage isn’t to change your spouse into someone more palatable, more convenient for you, someone who never fails to return his own keys to the entryway hook. I wish I wouldn’t have spent all of those years trying and instead, realized that I could simply hang his keys up myself (if it bothered me) and carry on with my day. x

Haha, dito! The same conclusion I came to a couple years back. Everything has a place and I like it like that so now I just make a long sigh and put whatever it is in its place an he looks at me with a guilty look and apologizes, lol

I love how you put the different stages of love here and include all of them. I just wish I had been able to make it through those stages. I know some things happened that were unfortunate, and difficulties we would not be able to overcome. But I have seen how amazing a marriage can be and I still wish to find one.

I am sure you will find the one because yes marriage is amazing! So far the “difficulties” we encountered have been surpassed. I believe that as time passes love grows as well making it even more easier to overcome what ever obstacles that lay ahead.

Congrats for your 27th wedding anniversary! You have listed some valid points which make the married relation a more stronger bond. Marriage is a name of relation in which we have to give more and more without any limits. Don’t hope for getting but always be a giver which is key to success in any relation.
